The Beginning

Family get together/Annual General Meeting............

The first collection for the same began in 25.12.2000....It was an idea generated by Kodakar people- Adv. Anil D. , Raghu, Vasuman...and Raviman, Deepuman, the list continues ..... after the death of Rajan chettan (Kodakara) . He had died, without having money to buy medicine. Then there was communication gap.... The primary motive of the association was to bridge this ignorance...... In the long run, it had support from many, though there are some who are still not members.....For reasons best known to them...May be because of ignorance. Cannot say that they have no time, for time is the same for every one...You find time for things u want to do......

The meetings where held on:

First: 8.1.2001
Second: 19.05.2002
Third: 11.05.2003
Fourth: 16.5.2004
Fifth: 15.5.2005.
Sixth: 7.5.2006.

Gradually in the get together, there were cultural events included, prices distributed for various events etc....

A brief detail of the activity on 7th May 2006 is as below:

It began with Nalaman lighting the lamp, and the prayer song by Aparana, Vasumans daughter. Then an old wedding photo was shown, guess it was Ravimans marriage photo, and a boy circled, and asked who it was. Audience wiere given 10 minutes time, It was Kodakara Adv. Anil . There was a good photo of every one of Thottappilly family which was put first in the blog, all young then. Now, of all from the photo, presently living are Nalaman- who is the Kartha- the eldest member of the family, and his sisters, Subadramma, and Janakiamma...

There was solo songs by all children. Then there was sports, potato raise and lemon and spoon for children, lemon raise and candle raise for grown ups. Anthakshery was well organized by Ajitha……There were different rounds like 1. an alphabet was picked, and people singing, 2. Aju sang a song, and from it, others continued, 3. One word was picked and audience were asked to sing a song related to it (situation). 4. Name of an actor and actress (pair) was given, and audience were asked to sing a song, in which they are there.There were four groups, and the winner was Sujatha ammai and party. Then we had lunch. After that there was Quiz competation…four group again, conducted by Kishapens wife Remya. winner, as usual was Sreerags team. Soon after that, some went to Thrissur, for Pooram, it was Thrissur Pooram on that day. Then there was musical chair, and finally meeting as usual. After that prize distribution, it was decided that one girl and one boy, highest scorer in 10th be given prize every year. Also scholarship for deserving and needy of Rs. 750/- included Vaishak (Vijayaman son) in it. Pen was given to those who did not get any price- Thus most of them had prizes and gifts in their hands, some even 4-5. Though there were some misunderstandings. in between competitions, and some had not come, in all there was smiles, unity. Newly wedded introduced themselves: 1. Sudhi- Reshmi & 2. Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Unnikrishnan. Mr. Krishnan T's wife Remya, as Kishapen is gone to South Africa, he was not there. Those who hadnt still given Pooja cash were asked to do so, and Ammumas family photo was being sold for Rs. 100/-

Could see happiness in most of the faces at the end of the day, though many were reluctant to attend….

Thought: Life is only traveled once…2 days moments become 2morrows memories…Enjoy every day good or bad, as the gift of life..Remember, those who choose to be at peace, must help their others to be at peace, those who choose to live well must help their others to live well. And those who choose to be happy, must help others to find happiness, The value of a life is measured by the lives it touches….. There are misunderstandings, when in group, but lets hope and pray, that this will not lead to break ups.......United we stand Divided we fall....Let us remain united...Forgiving..... Let us try and do all the good we can, to all the people we can, at all the time we can, in all the ways we can......
