Gratitude Can Transform Your Life

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne
Creator of The Secret-I thought it worth sharing it here...

Remember, if you are criticizing, you are not being grateful. If you are blaming, you are not being grateful. If you are complaining, you are not being grateful. If you are feeling tension, you are not being grateful. If you are rushing, you are not being grateful. If you are in a bad mood, you are not being grateful.

Gratitude can transform your life. Are you allowing minor things to get in the way of your transformation and the life you deserve?

May the joy be with you,
Rhonda Byrne

New Generation Nairs...

Interesting fight on WhatsApp...which all began with Ani Chettan speaking about the new Generation Nairs.

Chettan is the right word for nairs and mama is usually not used, but ammavan is also correct. Depends upon the relation with the person involved. Also we never used to say 'anene', 'ammene' but now the new generation use these words!

Again we had a culture to say irikku, kazhikku, varu, tharu..now it has become vaa, thaa, irikk, Kazhikk.....this style is used by the new generation, even with elders!!

As language change from place to place, there is a chance that it would get changed generation to generation. People now like language, relationships, family all short and sweet. It's a throw away time/society. There was a time when things broken were mended but now they are just thrown away for variety reasons.

There is this young person saying - Don't talk to me about my fathers family - My blood boils! Who is responsible for creating that germ in the mind of that person - who has all the time in the world for friends, but no time for ailing grandparents or people taking care of their grandparents - whose blood is boiling in their body - Better it boil, so that the heat remind them who they are!

You'r time is limited, you'r life is limited, all men and women are born, live and die. What distinguishes one from another is what we do and our dreams! If we continue reacting as other people do - which we feel is not correct, what is the difference between them and us? Be good, speak good, and do good.

MUMBAI DAYS

Anil from Kodakara:

When i was in bby one day myself, p.g.jayan , and hari were in the b'villi station, on the way 2 receive ravichettan who was returning from saudi. V r planing 2 get a slow train to villeparle. When a train came, hari said ' chalo chalo' and jayan and hari managed to get in to train, but i con't . I was with one foot on the edge of the door and another leg was on the air. But i thought, i can get down at kandivilly within 5 mts . But train didnt stopped at kandivilly. Then i asked another why it is not stopped at kandivilli he said ' gadi theje bhai' abhi bandrame rukegi ' means, i have to be in a nataraj style up to bhandra....! Thank god some of the passengers sitting near the window hold me through the window till bhandra...and that is why am alive now. Gunapatam: Jayanteyum hariyuteyum kude trainil yaathra paadilla !!

T. Ravindran to Abhilash and Ajitha It is very heartening to see that these young turks still remember the "MUMBAI DAYS" ........... In Hindu mythology "hari" is supposed to be very thoughtful ,stable GOD. but that was Anil's....... jathaka dosham / or a heavenly warning. so later he became a more stable and peace loving person. Thanks to "allah" for all those incidents !!! positive thinking : (PMA).

Similar thing happened for your MOM when my MOM decided to send her for a marriage in "Mattunga" during 1975 for exposure. She could have ended up in "red light area" after she got into a train which was diverted to Bandra Yard due to tech. problem , while her friend could not get into that train from MATUNGA station. She did not have the ticket/ money and even know BANDRA !!!! let the mother narrate her son in detail now. MORAL of the story: Let us try to publish such narrations in our "thottappilly blog" instead of some quotes from the last pages of English books and funny photos !!!
