Annual Day
THE ANNUAL DAY FUNCTION WAS HELD ON 13/05/2007 AT KODAKARA.
WE CELEBRATED THE 75 TH BIRTHDAY OF THOTTAPPILLY JANAKY AMMA ON THIS OCCASSION.
MANY GRACED THE OCCASION ALONG WITH FAMILY N FRIENDS, THIS YEAR WE HAD PEOPLE FROM MUMBAI TOO WHO HAD SPECIALLY COME HERE FOR THIS.
BUT THIS YEAR THERE WERE FEW TRAGEDY'S TOO....
VARANDRAPILLY SULAKAS HOUSE HAD BROKEN AS COCONUT TREE FELL ON TO THE ROOF OF THEIR HOUSE.
KODAKAR BABU WAS ILL AND HOSPITALISED.

As rightly pointed out by Aju: Things have been very slow out here...!!? no new updates in Thottappilly family?hope to see some pics frm the kudumbayogam.I think we shud have a suggestion box for the next fly reunion ,that way everyone can have an active participation in the program planning.
The last kudumbayogam was fun but somethings had a school touch to it. We have family get togethers so that eveyone gets to interact , but this was kinda boring ..its always someone talking over the mic and others listening ..the whole thing gets a teacher student feel.I would suggest that try to involve more youngsters in planning cultural activities . It shud feel like a family affair . So hope to c a suggestion box soon!that way people who cant make it for the yogam can also be a part of it.
Also as pointed by Deeru our orkut community too is very dry, so why not try starting something good?? And let us together make it good. In a way, its just the starting, we need to improve upon, at least we have this!! When many do not have even this much, so its not very bad either....

Success Doesn't Happen In Isolation
There was a farmer who grew superior quality and award-winning corn.
Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won honor andprizes. One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learnt somethinginteresting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmershared his seed corn with his neighbors'.
"How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors whenthey are entering corn in competition with yours each year?" the reporterasked.
"Why sir, "said the farmer, "didn't you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field.
If my neighbors growinferior, sub-standard and poor quality corn, cross-pollination willsteadily degrade the quality of my corn.If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn."
The farmer gave a superb insight into the connectedness of life. His corncannot improve unless his neighbor's corn also improves. So it is in theother dimensions! Those who choose to be at harmony must help theirneighbors and colleagues to be at peace. Those who choose to live well musthelp others to live well.
The value of a life is measured by the lives it touches.
Success does not happen in isolation. It is very often a participativeand collective process. So share the good practices, ideas, new learning'swith your family, team members, neighboursand friends.
